＜SYNOPSIS＞
誰からも愛されたことのない少女は、それでも愛を求めてさまよい続ける―――
実の母や姉から激しい虐待を受けていたため児童養護施設に措置されているサヤコは、現在高校3年生。施設の窮屈な暮らしに嫌気がさしたサヤコは、施設から逃げ出し、久しぶりに母と暮らしていたアパートを訪れる。だが母はサヤコを拒み、家の中に入れてくれない。 居場所をなくしたサヤコは、行く宛もなく夜道を彷徨う。
その道すがらサヤコはケンタという不思議な青年に出会う。彼は自転車で街を徘徊し、道行く人々に「僕の事、知りませんか？」と訪ね続けていた。
ひょんなことからケンタの自分探しの旅に付き合うことになったサヤコ。夜の街を自転車で駆け抜ける二人の旅路は、紆余曲折を経て、とある事件を引き起こすのだった。

<SYNOPSIS>
A girl, Sayako, who lives in a fostering facility runs away to see her mother where they lived together, only to get turned away by her. Having nowhere else to go, she wanders the night. While wandering, she meets a peculiar boy named Kenta. He rides his bicycle around town asking people if they know who he is. Sayako ends up with Kenta on his journey to finding himself. Both that have lost their self="identity" rides through the neon flashing sleepless Tokyo. After going through their little journey, eventually the sun rises and they reach an unexpected ending.
When you own a parakeet, the owner will cut its most important wing for flight, the remiges, so that it will not escape. Therefore, the bird’s freedom is taken away because of human ego. A story of a night of a girl and a boy that had their “Remiges” taken away, just like a little parakeet.
<About the film>
Director, Masato Ozawa’s first feature film “Komorebi -A Warm Ray of Light-“ was invited to international film festivals such as Shanghai International Film Festival. He has left out the explanatory elements and brought in a runaway-kind-of-feel to his newest creation. Actors are an up and coming television and film actors, Mika Akizuki and Junki Tozuka. Their performance of gloomy young teens was executed very vibrantly. Maiko Kawakami plays the mother who cannot love her own child so precisely which creates the core of the story line.
